Wambui Mwicigi Muya, the esteemed Board Chair of Green String Network (GSN), is a beacon of compassion, dedication, and leadership in the non-profit sector. With over 15 years of experience serving on various boards, Wambui brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to social justice to her role at GSN.
Holding an Honors LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from the prestigious University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, Wambui's academic achievements are matched only by her unwavering determination to make a positive impact in the world. Her leadership extends beyond GSN, as she also chairs the CBMKenya Board (Global Disability Inclusion), the Koinonia Education Centre Board (Education for Vulnerable Children), and the Camisassa Hospitality and Healthcare Centre Steering Committee (Home for Elderly/Ailing Priests of Consolata Missionaries). Additionally, Wambui serves as a member of the Consolata Missionaries Foundation, a trustee of the Loresho South Residents Association, and a member of both the Kianda School Alumni Board and the Nairobi Primary Alumni Board, showcasing her versatility and tireless efforts to drive change across various sectors.
As a devoted mother to two daughters and two sons, and a loving wife, Wambui's commitment to her family is an integral part of who she is. For the past 15 years, she has focused on supporting her children in pursuing their dreams and reaching for the sky, instilling in them the values of compassion, resilience, and the power of education.
Wambui's kindness and generosity extend far beyond her immediate family. She is a cherished friend to many, always ready to lend a listening ear and offer support when needed. Her ability to connect with people on a deep, personal level is a testament to her empathy and genuine concern for others.
Through her organization, 365LOVE Kenya, where she serves as the Founder and Director, Wambui actively engages in community projects and encourages young people and others to volunteer, fostering a spirit of unity and service. Her unwavering commitment to the development of Kenya is evident in her tireless efforts to create positive change at the grassroots level.
In times of grief, Wambui's compassion shines through as she reaches out to those who have lost loved ones, offering comfort and support during their most difficult moments. Her ability to be present and attentive to others in their time of need is a true reflection of her kind and caring nature.

Masha Maita, Treasurer
Masha Daniel Maitha, GSN's Board Treasurer, brings over 18 years of extensive expertise in strengthening Civil Society Organizations across diverse sectors, including Corporate, Government, and Non-Profit, both domestically and internationally. His skills encompass capacity building, project management, financial management, resource mobilization, strategic planning, microfinance, and team building.
With a Master of Arts in Project Planning & Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Banking and Finance, Masha has held key positions such as Technical Advisor, Project Manager, and Resource Mobilization Expert in organizations like Touch Africa Development Organization, Women & Youth Community Action Network, Designed Solutions Africa, Cooperative Bank of Kenya, and Mufindi Community Bank in Tanzania. His experience spans across East Africa, South Sudan, Denmark, and Austria.
Masha's commitment to inclusiveness, ability to work effectively with diverse groups, and dedication to the pursuit of project goals make him a valuable asset as the Treasurer to Green String Network's board. His cultural sensitivity and fluency in coastal Kiswahili further enhance his ability to contribute to the organization's efficacy in achieving our strategic objectives.
Col (Rtd) Vincent L Anami psc (K), Member
Colonel (Rtd) Vincent Lee Anami, MSc "psc" (K), brings over three decades of distinguished military service and extensive expertise in security, disaster management, and humanitarian operations as a member of the Green String Network board. With a multifaceted career spanning roles in the Kenya Armed Forces, UN World Food Programme, World Health Organization, and the Kenya National Disaster Operation Centre, Col. Anami offers invaluable insights and leadership.
His academic achievements include a Master of Science in Risk, Crisis & Disaster Management and diplomas in Crisis and Mass Disaster Management and the Law of Internal Displacement. As a sought-after consultant and lecturer, and the president of the Japan Karate Association World Federation Kenya, Col. Anami's wealth of experience and commitment to service strengthen the Green String Network board's ability to navigate complex challenges and drive meaningful change.
Dr. Angi Yoder-Maina, Secretary
Dr. Angi Yoder-Maina, a visionary leader in healing-centered peacebuilding, serves as the Board Secretary and Executive Director of Green String Network. With over 30 years of experience, she has developed the contextualized Wellbeing and Resiliency (WebR) Framework peer-support healing circle methodology for Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and South Sudan.
As a sought-after consultant, Dr. Yoder-Maina has provided peacebuilding and governance expertise to numerous organizations, including USAID, World Bank, and the United Nations. Her groundbreaking work connects the healing-centered approach to SDGs 3, 5, 8, 11, 13, and 16, showcasing the importance of addressing intergenerational and collective trauma in achieving sustainable development.
Dr. Yoder-Maina's dedication to social justice and community-driven solutions has earned her global recognition, including a 2022 Top Innovator Youth Mental Health Challenge from the World Economic Forum for the digital healing Circles App Ustawi and the 2021 Dr. Guislain Award for "Breaking the Stigma." Her transformative approach empowers individuals and communities to define and pursue their journeys of healing, fostering resilience and social cohesion in the face of adversity.

Amanda Willet, a board member of Green String Network, brings over two decades of invaluable experience in international development to the organization. With an impressive track record of designing and funding initiatives in public finance, post-conflict recovery, and climate change, Amanda's expertise is unparalleled.
As the former President & CEO of Crown Agents USA, she spearheaded growth strategies and led business integration efforts. Her leadership extends to director positions with USAID programs, where she guided teams across 14 countries worldwide. Amanda's passion for making a positive impact shines through her work in building partnerships to rebuild infrastructure and restore public services in challenging environments.
With an unwavering commitment to promoting good governance, transparency, and accountability, Amanda's presence on the Green String Network board strengthens the organization's ability to effect change and support communities in need.
